I especially want to thank the Youth Minister Search Team for their time and hard work. They have faithfully and tirelessly worked on their assignment. Members of the committee include Dr. Scott Sherman, Chairman; Johnny Albion, Chairman of the Personnel Committee; Tammy Benenhaley, John Dickenson, Robert Gillespie, Mary Carlton Hurt, Deadra Oliver, and Lee Hanks, Alternate. Congratulations committee on a job well done!

What a wonderful Vacation Bible School we had this year during the dates of June 15th - 19th for "Boomerang Express: It All Comes Back to Jesus!" We had an enrollment of 178, and average attendance of 173, and collected $136.79 for missions. However, the most important statistic of all is that six children prayed to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Praise the Lord!

I would like to personally say "thank you" to every teacher, worker, and volunteer who made this year's VBS a complete success. Your time and "labor of love" are greatly appreciated. Only in eternity will we know how many boys and girls were touched with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ during the week.

A special "thanks" goes out to Mrs. Tonya Graves, our VBS director, for all of her hard work. Thank you for going the extra mile! We are so blessed to have such a committed and dedicated leader.

As we celebrate our nation's independence on July 4th, let's commit to pray for our country. The United States of America is in desperate need of prayer. The divine intervention of God is the only hope for our land. Let's fulfill our Christian responsibility by praying personally and daily for our great nation.
